Meet the Team
KAREN HUCKABY, LMFT
CO-FOUNDER

I find great significance in working with young adults and individuals who are sorting out their identity, new job/college/life experiences, or changes in relationship or religious beliefs.
Like most therapists, my approach to therapy is eclectic (I use a bunch of theories/practices) along with emotional embodiment to find the best possible path for clients to meet their own needs – usually with stories, humor, and empathic understanding. It’s such an honor to work with people who are interested in doing the difficult, yet rewarding work of self-discovery and healing.
When I’m not wearing my therapist hat, I spend most of my time adventuring with my partner and toddler. I love being near animals, nature, and absorbing copious amounts of podcasts, various forms of art, stand-up comedy, and finding new local restaurants.
NAOMI WIENS, LMFT
CO-FOUNDER

As a therapist, I camp out at the intersection of curiosity and compassion. I use a relational and dynamic approach to therapy, assisting clients in broadening conscious awareness of self and emotion within the body. Therapy is a collaborative process and it is important to me to understand the systems within which my clients exist. I enjoy incorporating the strengths and interests clients bring into the therapeutic process, including art and musical expression. I work primarily with older adolescents (15+), adults, and couples.
When I am out of the office I enjoy spending time outdoors with my spouse and our boys, tending to a little flock of chickens, and playing guitar.
BREANNA TURNER, LMFT
CO-FOUNDER

I’m passionate about therapy because I’ve seen how meaningful it can be—both in my own life and in the lives of those I love. I offer a warm, grounded space for clients to reflect, process, and grow. My approach is client-centered and humanistic, drawing from attachment, narrative, and psychodynamic theories.
I also offer nature-informed therapy for those who find healing in being outdoors, reconnecting with their bodies, or simply slowing down. I live and work on the ancestral lands of the Yokuts peoples, and I honor their ongoing relationship with this place by approaching this work with humility and respect.
When I’m not working, you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my family, listening to a podcast, or savoring a quiet moment. I’d be honored to support you on your path toward clarity and healing.
DANICA ROGERS, LPCC

I view therapy as a context for safety, healing, exploration, and the development of new skills. It is my honor to walk with people through both the most difficult and joyful experiences of life, and I am passionate about providing genuine care to those wanting more clarity and healing. I have found from personal experience that the connection made between therapist and client can serve as a foundation for transformative growth.
I enjoy working with the LGBTQIA+ community, those healing from religious trauma, and individuals who are interested in exploring the deeper parts of themselves. While I prefer to utilize a variety of approaches to counseling, I typically use a person-centered lens and incorporate family systems and attachment theories.
In my free time I enjoy cooking with my spouse, taking our dog Tyson to the dog park, traveling, and playing the guitar.
ELIANA ROMERO, LMFT

I view our time together as a collaboration, offering compassion and active listening as I join you on your healing journey. I strive to provide a comfortable, warm environment where your strengths can blossom as you work toward your treatment goals. During our time together, we will regularly check in on our goals to see where you feel work continues to be needed. Together we will address not just the symptoms you are experiencing, but also any cultural, societal, relationship, and other factors that may be contributing to how you are feeling. I can also provide support in Spanish and enjoy working with immigrant and first-generation populations. Outside of the office, I enjoy travelling, spending time with family, and finding new music to connect with.
DENAE TAKEMOTO, LMFT

Every one of us are storytellers, and our stories can lead to empowerment, enlightment, and healing. As a therapist, my approach includes helping others discover and reshape their stories to promote healing while building connection and safety within the body. I offer an integrative approach of Somatic Trauma Therapy and Embodied Narrative Therapy to explore how our memories, experiences, and emotions manifest in the body. I work from an experiential approach, affirming your whole self in the “here and now” to help build trust and safety within yourself.
Many of the people I work with have experienced trauma, complex trauma, are exploring identity, or looking to strengthen their self-worth. I specialize in and provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care, neurodiverse affirming care, and working with first responders and their families. I see myself as a relational therapist and view the therapeutic relationship as the foundation to the healing process. I understand that for some, therapy is venturing into the unknown. As your therapist, I’m here to meet you where you’re at and help navigate you through this journey.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, both human and dog variety. I’m a homebody that enjoys reading, watching horror movies, or playing with my kids. When I venture outdoors, I enjoy going on walks, visiting the beach, and swimming.
Michelle Marin, LCSW

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family & pets, tending to my indoor plants, listening to podcasts, and watching a good movie.
Daniel Karkoska, LMFT

Whether you are going through a difficult transition in life or have some long-standing issues you’re now ready to work on, I’m here to walk alongside you. I find it helpful to disentangle the complicated thoughts and emotions that can make day-to-day tasks, or even life-changing decisions, feel unmanageable.
I specialize in providing treatment to those who have experienced any type of trauma, utilizing skills-based therapies such as CBT/DBT, as well as techniques from IFS and Polyvagal theory to inform the EMDR process. I find this combination to be effective in safely reconnecting with difficult emotions in helpful ways that allow for meaningful change.
In my time as a therapist I have found the process of change to be challenging, but deeply rewarding; both for my clients and myself. Therapy can look different at different times in our lives. If you’re uncertain about what therapy could do for you, please reach out and I’d be happy to provide any assistance as you make the decision you feel is best for you.
